today was the long awaited maastricht carnival!
left for the city center at around 12pm and it was super cold! i didn't wear my long john and wore only a layer beneath my red windbreaker so i was freezing
while walking halfway, it started to hail. it's painful when it hits exposed skin
then we went into a bar because we were cold and wet
the bar was quite family oriented with children playing around, adults singing and dancing and in full gear costume!

i think i am developing an acquired taste for beer. it tastes better and better. i think it's because i now know the correct way to drink beer

after that we made our way towards the parade
saw lego man

then after that my battery exhausted!=xxq should have brought the spare one along..
so in the end i took some pictures of the actual parade using my phone

went to the highlander pub on last friday night for pre carnival party
it was fun! people were all fully dressed up and me, steph, shyanne and john went around taking photos with them!
got dog, crocodile, obama, chef, tigers, fairy and many other interesting characters! photos are with john, shall kope from fb when i am free. ok more like when i am not feeling lazzyy

flying to germany tomorrow! excited! i am going to stay in berlin for 2 nights then go to frankfurt for 2 nights and dusseldorf for 1 night. i will be going back to hostel first alone, so quite worried=xx
